Areas of Focus
HWG lawyers have briefed and argued cases in a wide variety of appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, most of the federal courts of appeals, and state courts of last resort. The lawyers in our Issues + Appeals group include former clerks on the U.S. Supreme Court, nearly every federal court of appeals, and a number of state appellate courts.
Our Issues and Appeals work spans all areas of the firm’s practice, with a particular focus on addressing complex legal issues in the federal agencies before which HWG regularly practices, and subsequent review in the federal courts of appeals. We also have extensive experience representing lawyers and law firms at every level of the D.C. disciplinary system, including before the Board on Professional Responsibility and the D.C. Court of Appeals.
