HWG is pleased to announce that Courtney Miller has been elected partner.

Courtney has achieved success for clients in a range of complex cases and government investigations, including matters involving telecommunications law and legal ethics. Her practice includes a particular focus on representing lawyers and law firms in disciplinary matters, including in trials against the D.C. Office of Disciplinary Counsel and the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland, as well as appeals before the D.C. Board on Professional Responsibility and the Supreme Court of Maryland. Courtney also maintains an active pro bono practice advocating for the rights of individuals with regard to their sexual orientation and gender identity.
Courtney began her legal career as a clerk for the Honorable Catharine F. Easterly of the D.C. Court of Appeals. She received her J.D. from the University of Virginia, where she served on the managing board of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy & the Law and on the editorial board of the Virginia Law Review. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis.
