Daeyeong Kim is an associate at HWG LLP, where his practice focuses on communications, energy, and artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
Daeyeong counsels clients on a range of regulatory matters before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Department of Energy (DOE), and other federal agencies. He advises communications companies on universal service, emergency communications (E911 and 988), network resiliency, broadband deployment, and accessibility issues, including in rulemaking proceedings and enforcement actions. Daeyeong also counsels clients on energy efficiency regulations as well as data center and artificial intelligence issues.
Daeyeong received his J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he was a Notes Editor of the Stanford Law Review, a clinical student in the Environmental Law Clinic, and Co-President of the Asian and Pacific Islander Law Students Association. Daeyeong received his Ph.D. and M.A. in English Literature from Stanford University and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Amherst College.
