Alex Tate is an associate at HWG LLP, where her practice focuses on data protection and privacy law, litigation, and government investigations.

Before joining HWG, Alex clerked for the Honorable Robert E. Payne of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and was an associate at Venable LLP.

She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law, where she served as an articles editor of the Duke Law Journal and received the James S. Bidlake Memorial Award for Superior Achievement in Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing. Alex received her B.S.F.S., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University.
