On May 22, Kent Bressie delivered the keynote address at the Submarine Cables: Security, Resiliency, Investment and Innovation to Support Global Connectivity conference, hosted by the International Institute of Communications (IIC). He explored the critical role submarine cables play in enabling global connectivity, highlighted current cable protection and resilience efforts, and discussed strategies for addressing emerging challenges in the field.
Kent Bressie is Chair of HWG’s International practice, representing clients in telecommunications regulation, foreign investment, and national security. He works extensively in the submarine cable sector and serves as Legal Adviser of the International Cable Protection Committee, the world’s leading organization devoted to submarine cable protection and resilience.
