The American Bar Association (ABA) has revised its lobbying manual, “The Lobbying Manual: A Complete Guide to Federal Lobbying Law and Practice (6th ed. 2024)” for the first time since 2016. Thomas B. Mason and Amy E. Richardson are featured in the recently published manual as co-authors of Chapter 22, “The Rules of Professional Conduct and Lawyer-Lobbyists.”
The lobbying manual provides an overview of the laws that federal government relations professionals should be aware of in their practice, giving examples of how to comply with them and detailed descriptions of the decision-making processes, constraints, and professional norms that apply to lobbyists. Tom and Amy contribute to its purpose by expanding on these rules and sharing valuable and relevant insights readers may find helpful in their work.
