Amy Robinson focuses her practice on telecommunications law.
Amy’s clients include wireless and wireline service providers, internet service providers, equipment manufacturers, satellite companies, software companies, and communications accessibility providers. She advises clients regarding matters before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the National Telecommunications and Information Association (NTIA), Congressional telecommunications-related working groups, and foreign regulatory entities.
Before joining HWG LLP, Amy served as a legal intern in the Office of FCC Commissioner Geoffrey Starks and as a policy intern at the National Telecommunications and Information Association. Prior to practicing law, Amy managed communications for the Schools, Health & Libraries Broadband Coalition, where she advocated for increased broadband funding for community institutions.
Amy received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where she served on the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology. She received her M.P.P. from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where she was awarded the Belfer Young Leaders Fellowship and the Clark & Lily Pforzheimer Fellowship, and served as a teaching fellow for multiple technology-focused courses. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Harvard college, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and as a John Harvard Scholar.

Representative Experience
- Represented a coalition of chipmakers, device manufacturers, and internet companies in expanding access to the 6 GHz band for the next generation of wireless devices.
- Represented a non-profit coalition in the Supreme Court case FCC v. Consumers’ Research to defend the Universal Service Fund.
- Ongoing representation of satellite space- and earth-station operators throughout the FCC licensing process.
- Represented equipment manufacturers in obtaining experimental licenses from the FCC.
- Advised internet service providers in compliance of the FCC’s broadband nutrition labels.
- Represented a Video Relay Service (VRS) provider in the FCC’s proceeding to integrate VRS into video conferencing platforms in order to expand accessibility for the people who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing.
