Sean and Mark will join a panel of distinguished appellate judges and experienced appellate attorneys to offer practical insights into key aspects of appellate practice. Topics will include:

- Ethical considerations unique to appellate advocacy

Sean serves as chair of HWG’s Energy practice in addition to being co-chair of the firm’s Issues and Appeals practice. He has experience advising and advocating for clients on regulatory issues related to energy, technology, and other fields. He has worked in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, including as Acting General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel at the Department of Energy.
Mark is a partner at HWG LLP, and also serves as the firm’s General Counsel. As a litigator, he represents clients in judicial and regulatory proceedings. In addition, he regularly represents clients in matters related to legal ethics, malpractice, and compliance with professional obligations.
