HWG LLP attorney Thomas B. Mason will participate as a panelist in “Navigating Ethical Dilemmas – Federal Government Attorneys’ Obligations to Their Clients and the Judicial System,” hosted by the D.C. Bar. Legal ethics experts and government attorneys will join him to discuss the unique ethical responsibilities of federal government lawyers.
The program will review key duties under the D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct, such as competence, diligence, zeal, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, and the obligation to provide independent judgment and honest advice. It will also cover prosecutors’ ethical duties, including the obligation not to “improperly favor or invidiously discriminate against any person.” (D.C. Rule 3.8(a)). Learn more and register here.
