HWG LLP Chairman John T. Nakahata will share insights on broadband infrastructure at the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies’ (APAICS) Technology Summit on October 21 and 22.

John will join as a panelist on “Closing the Digital Divide: Broadband Infrastructure and Access” to discuss the unique legal challenges facing rural and underserved communities, as well as policy solutions to ensure equitable access to high-speed internet.

John has worked on federal broadband policy both at the FCC and in private practice since the start of the broadband era.  He helped to implement the universal service provisions of the Telecommunications Act of 1996, which has supported broadband deployment, access and affordability for over twenty-five years.  He has worked with telecom industry companies on all aspects of making broadband available and accessible to all.
