Recently, the Tennessee Law Review published Timothy J. Simeone’s litigation privilege article entitled “A Privilege to Lie, Cheat, and Steal? Recent Applications of the Litigation Privilege to Attorney Fraud.” Tim reviews the history behind litigation privilege and attorney deceit statues and analyzes relevant cases while addressing their conflicting approaches to applying litigation privilege in cases of attorney fraud.
Tim is the Co-Chair of HWG’s Issues and Appeals practice group in addition to working with our Telecom, Telecommunications Litigation, and Legal Ethics groups. Some of his experience includes arguing cases before federal and state courts of appeals, briefing and arguing motions before trial tribunals, and advising lawyers and law firms of Rules of Professional Conduct.
The Tennessee Law Review is the oldest legal publication in Tennessee dedicated to advancing justice for Tennessee by publishing authors who offer solutions to local and national legal issues. The publication promotes discourse within the legal profession through covering a broad range of legal topics.
