HWG is proud to announce that Annick Banoun, Jason E. Neal, and Owen Smith have been appointed to 3 different Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA) Committees: Annick to the Wireline Committee, Jason to the Wireless Telecommunications Committee, and Owen to the Enforcement Committee.
As FCBA Committee members, Annick, Jason, and Owen will organize meetings, CLEs, and events related to their committees’ practices and contribute to the growth of the FCBA. Annick focuses her practice on telecommunications, technology, and media law. She advocates on behalf of clients before the FCC and advises clients on regulatory issues. Prior to joining the firm, she worked on a range of issues at the FCC, including network neutrality, wireline transactions, and affordable broadband access programs.
Jason focuses his practice on telecommunications and appellate litigation. He advocates on behalf of clients involved in FCC proceedings and counsels clients on regulatory issues specific to telecommunications transactions, as well as represents clients in federal court appeals.
Owen focuses his practice on government enforcement, civil litigation, and telecommunications. He defends clients in government investigations and enforcement matters; litigates complex issues in court, including on behalf of communications and technology companies; and advises companies on compliance with telecommunications laws and regulations.
The FCBA is a volunteer organization founded in 1936 focusing on telecommunications practices. It consists of attorneys, consultants, government officials, law students, and others committed to the development of communications law and policy.
