HWG Files Amici Brief on Behalf of National Security Experts in Moody v. NetChoice, LLC and NetChoice, LLC v. Paxton

Together with lawyers from Georgetown Law Center’s Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection, HWG partners Chris Wright and Adrienne Fowler filed an amici brief in the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of numerous national security experts in Moody v. NetChoice, LLC, and NetChoice, LLC v. Paxton. These cases involve challenges to state laws in Florida and Texas that would restrict social media companies’ ability to moderate third party content appearing on their sites; the Supreme Court granted cert. on whether aspects of these laws unconstitutionally impinged on the companies’ First Amendment rights.
