HWG has elected Jennifer Bagg as managing partner of the firm, effective October 11th. Ms. Bagg succeeds Bill Wiltshire, who will return to full-time practice with the firm.
“Jennifer is a steadfast leader, known for her skillful balance of technical knowledge, legal expertise and practical insight, and her tremendous dedication to her clients,” said HWG Chairman John Nakahata. “I’m confident that her deep commitment to HWG’s culture of client service and collegiality will continue to build our firm’s reputation for excellence. We thank Bill Wiltshire for his leadership over the past 8 years, including his stewardship to the firm during the unprecedent circumstances presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
“It has been a privilege to serve as Managing Partner of HWG, and I am grateful for the contributions our attorneys and staff have made to our shared success,” said Mr. Wiltshire. “I look forward to shifting my focus back to the full-time practice of law, and I pass the leadership baton to Jennifer knowing that HWG will benefit greatly from her commitment to the future of the firm.”
Ms. Bagg, who will be the first woman to serve as HWG managing partner, will also continue to advise tech and communications clients on complex FCC regulatory issues and privacy-related matters. Prior to joining HWG as a partner in 2013, she served as in-house counsel at a London-based, multinational telecommunications company, where she oversaw the company’s European legal team operations and off-shore offices, and advised on large, corporate-wide transactions.
“I am honored to have been elected managing partner at an exciting time of growth for our firm. It’s been an honor to work alongside the founders of HWG and see the impact of their vision and leadership,” said Ms. Bagg. “They set a high bar for the collegiality lawyers can expect inside a firm and the level of service our lawyers deliver to clients. I intend to keep raising that bar, building a community where excellent lawyers can do cutting-edge work and deliver unparalleled service to our clients.”
