Thomas Mason presented “The Worst-Case Scenario: How to Handle Ethical Issues that You Hope You Don’t Encounter” at Georgetown University Law Center’s 39th Annual International Trade Update.

The program discussed several key topics related to the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct including what to do if and when an attorney receives fake instructions from an overseas client to wire money, the ethical issues that arise from various cyber threats such as the hacking of firm escrow accounts, and what to do if and when an attorney learns that evidence presented to a tribunal was false or fabricated after the fact.
