Thomas Mason served as panelist on “Ethical Issues in Immigration Practice” at the D.C. Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s (AILA) Annual Fall Conference.
The panel focused on the ethical issues immigration lawyers may face when representing their clients and how to deal with them. The topics of discussion included emerging challenges in social media and online marketing, navigating limited representation engagements, pitfalls of dual representation, confidentiality, best practices for handling conflicts of interest, and candor to the tribunal and false statements to third parties.
