Thomas Mason and Hope Todd of the DC Legal Ethics Counsel presented “Leaving Government Employment: Ethics Issues for Attorneys” at the District of Columbia Bar. The program covered important ethics issues for attorneys leaving federal government employment for the private or nonprofit sector, including potential conflicts of interest, contact with one’s former government employer, and other ethical standards in the applicable DC Rules of Professional Conduct and relevant statutory requirements.
